John Southworth has been named as a finalist in the Northwest Housebuilder Awards 2023 in the category of ‘Sustainability Impact’ for the impressive development at Blackrock Street.
These prestigious awards are a fantastic opportunity for small to medium-sized homebuilders to come together to celebrate and recognise the excellent work that takes place to meet the country’s growing need for new homes.
“Building Futures Today” is not only the company’s strapline, but also exactly what the growing company has been doing, and what sustainability means to John Southworth’s. Over the last 5 years the focus has been on advancing construction techniques and achievements with a clear target to construct affordable, true Nett zero carbon homes whilst targeting our own business to operate at Nett Zero levels.
“Working with Manchester City Council we have demonstrated a clear path to meeting and exceeding future homes standards, this has enabled the council to establish project 500 – delivering low carbon homes on council owned land. John Southworth’s have secured nine sites constructing a total of 75 units throughout 2023-24, expanding delivery of sustainable homes throughout Greater Manchester, and contributing to the Greater Manchester carbon neutral pledge.”
