Key skills

Skillset

Ian has worked in the Construction sector since 1992.

His career journey began when he enrolled at Bircham Newton Training Centre in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, a CITB National Construction College. Upon completion of his training, Ian became a civil engineering operative.

Working on several projects across the country gave Ian an extensive knowledge of the construction industry – and experience in various sectors.

In 2004, Ian joined the Territorial Army, serving in the Royal Logistic Corps for seven years, where he gained skills in leadership, team building and problem-solving before joining John Southworth in 2012, where he was able to transfer and utilise these as a Site Manager.
