Skillset

Craig has worked in the Construction sector since leaving school in 2000, where he began his career at John Southworth as an Apprentice Plumber whilst studying for his NVQ in Plumbing, his mentor at the time being our Managing Director, Steven Brown.

Pursuing a career wholly in plumbing, Craig moved on in 2003, working for a Manchester-based plumbing company, where he gained full working experience and knowledge of all the necessary skills required for his chosen path. He continued working there until 2021, when he re-joined the company.

Upon his return to John Southworth, Craig brought with him the additional skills and experience he had acquired in his plumbing career and later progressed to the role of Site Manager in 2023.

Projects

  • Battersby Hat Factory, a major refurbishment project for Viaduct Housing. A sympathetic conversion of a former hat factory to create 45 houses/apartments across three mills in Stockport, Cheshire.
  • Penistone Road, a bespoke refurbishment project incorporating multi-occupancy assisted living, for Care Housing Association in Waterloo, Huddersfield. In addition to the adaptations and internal finishes, a full re-wire and re-roof was completed on this property.
  • Marbury House, an independent living care home refurbishment project for Independent Options. The vacant building contained 40 rooms and work included adaptations, re-wire, compliant fire doors, kitchens and bathrooms.
